Affari&Finanza Live at Università Bocconi: Technology, Content, and Precision by Imagines

Since 2023, Imagines has been the technical service partner of Affari&Finanza events, on behalf of Ingentilmente, organized by Gruppo Gedi and branded by La Repubblica. A series of conferences hosted at Università Bocconi in Milan, bringing together key figures from European economics, finance, and industry. Each edition evolves while remaining faithful to its mission: fostering debate on major international economic issues, offering both audiences and speakers an immersive and flawless experience.

In this context, Imagines has played a central role, managing the full technical service in Milan and, for the 2023 and 2024 editions, also providing the digital guest registration platform. The goal: ensuring operational precision, technological fluidity, and international-level audio-visual quality.

Affari&Finanza 2025: Europe at a Crossroads

The March 2025 edition, titled “Europe at the Crossroads between China and the United States”, addressed current geopolitical and economic challenges. On stage at Bocconi’s foyer, top managers, university professors, entrepreneurs, and policy makers alternated in an intense debate on the shifting global balance.

To support such a dense and authoritative content flow, Imagines designed a technical infrastructure ensuring complete reliability, with particular focus on timing coordination, video source management, and in-room sound quality.

Setup and Rehearsals: Efficiency in 24 Hours

One of the main organizational challenges was concentrating both technical setup and rehearsals into a single day, so that the client could count on a fully operational venue by the next morning. A team of 15 professionals—including sound engineers, mic operators, lighting and video technicians, playout operators, video mixers, and LED specialists—worked in synergy under the guidance of a dedicated team leader.

This efficiency was made possible by meticulous planning and in-depth knowledge of the needs of high-profile events such as Affari&Finanza.

Screens, Monitors, and LED Walls

Inside the Aula Magna, Imagines designed a complete setup to ensure clear and engaging delivery: an INFILED 2.6 high-definition LED wall, integrated with Novastar 4K processors, capable of delivering sharp, stable images even under strong ambient light.

These and many other technologies enabled full visual control, making every stage of the event smooth and professional.

Aquilon: The Heart of the Video Control Room

At the core of the setup was the Aquilon RS2 graphic and video mixer by Analog Way, equipped with NDI input board. This system managed the flow of all video sources, graphic transitions, remote interventions, and external contributions.

The Aquilon ensured minimal latency, stable signals, and dynamic window management—allowing seamless transitions from one source to another in sync with the debate’s rhythm.

Lighting Design: Tambora

For stage lighting, Imagines selected Claypaky Tambora Linear 100 fixtures, combining luminous power with scenic flexibility. Used to create elegant, uniform highlights, they enhanced the speakers while remaining discreet.

The system was controlled via MA Lighting MA2 Wing console, with Luminex nodes for DMX signal distribution. A configuration designed to deliver maximum control and precise scene adjustments.

Guest Platform and Digital Access Management

In parallel, Imagines implemented the Make It Live platform—customized ad hoc—for guest registration and access management. A GDPR-compliant solution that enabled La Repubblica and Gruppo Gedi to monitor entries, track attendance, and ensure a smooth, personalized welcome flow.

An often invisible aspect for the public, but essential for the organizational success of an event hosting hundreds of participants.

Being the technical partner of Affari&Finanza Live for three consecutive editions represents a recognition of Imagines’ reliability.
